Firstly I handwrote a large amount of all of my name, then he searched and collected each character and recomposed it.
The mark apparently triggers the association of the cross. 
But it's actually the shape of road of Yoknapatawpha County that is the name of place of William Faulkner's novel. Because my name is named after that name of land. 

But through the process for me to be connected with the shape of land,  I mysteriously felt stronger image than only have connection of sound or meaning.  it gets more actuality.
Also, the map itself is connected to the concept of Yoknapatawpha by Faulkner. To find its similarity with the cross is interesting.
This is also the idea from Yamai. Thank you so much!

山井隆介氏に新しい名刺をデザインしていただきました。
名前部分は、私が大量に自分の文字を手書きしたものから、山井氏が一文字ずつ探し出し、再構成したものです。
マークは明らかに十字架を連想させますが、実はフォークナーの小説の中に出てくるヨクナパトーファ郡の地図の形からデザインされています。
でも、土地の形と繋がる過程で、音や意味だけの繋がりよりも、不思議なことにより現実的な、強いイメージを感じました。 
また、地図自体がフォークナーのヨクナパトーファの概念に関連しているので、 十字架との類似性を見つけることは、興味深かったです。
これも山井さんのアイデアです。 どうもありがとうございます！
